Back in April, Cody Fink posted a very thorough review of the 1.0 release of Kiwi for Mac, but now it’s time to follow up with a little sneak peek of version 2 - due out tomorrow, November 24. Yourhead, the company that makes Kiwi, has given me a little taste and I have to say the new version adds some great new features to an already very nice Mac desktop client.

Steve Jobs Says They’re Taking A “Giant Leap To Driverless Printing”
Ok, so AirPrint’s removal from OS X 10.6.5 left a few people disappointed. Users were expecting to be able to print from iOS 4.2 to any printer shared through a Mac or PC, but the feature didn’t make the cut in the final version of 10.6.5. Sure, you can achieve the same functionality using 3rd party tools like Printopia, but unofficial tweaks – even if well developed and stable – are never quite like Apple’s own implementation. In the case of AirPrint, mostly because it takes huge resources and teams to achieve stable and fast driverless printing.
That is exactly what Steve Jobs allegedly told a MacRumors forum member in a recent email exchange. Apple is doing the best they can to re-introduce the feature in the next iterations of OS X, and we have to wait. Read more

TaskForce: The Uber Minimal To-Do App for iPhone
I love OmniFocus, but many of you guys probably don’t need its complex feature set and just would like to have a simple todo list app for iPhone. You know, something like a digital piece of paper where you can jot down tasks, mark them as complete and delete them.
That’s it, no contexts, projects, teammates or tags to choose from. Personally I wouldn’t go anywhere with such a system and I know there are thousands of apps similar to the one I’m going to write about available in the App Store – yet TaskForce is minimal and polished enough to deserve a mention.

iOS 4.2: Our Complete Walkthrough
A few minutes ago Apple announced the release of iOS 4.2 today. The download links aren’t live yet, and we speculate the engineers at Cupertino will flip the switch at 10AM PST.

iOS 4.2 is a major new update for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad built on the strong foundation of iOS 4, released in June just two days before the iPhone 4 went on sale. iPhones and iPod Touches have been capable of enjoying multitasking, folders, fast app switching and the hundreds of new features since then, but it’s only with 4.2 that iPads are getting updated to support iOS 4. Apple Makes Find My iPhone Free (For Latest Gen. Devices)
An interesting tidbit from the official iOS 4.2 press release:
The Find My iPhone (or iPad or iPod touch) feature is now free to use without a MobileMe℠ subscription and helps you locate your missing device.* The Find My iPhone app is a free download on the App Store℠ and lets users easily locate a missing device on a map and have it display a message or play a sound. Users can even remotely lock or wipe data from a lost device to protect privacy.
Apple is making the Find My iPhone feature free for all users running iOS 4.2 on latest generation devices: iPhone 4, iPad or new iPod touch – as you can see here.
The Find My iPhone feature allows you to remotely locate an iOS device you’ve previously configured the service on, and also lets you remotely wipe it, or send a message to whomever might have found it. It used to be available to MobileMe subscribers, now Apple is making it free enabling you to activate it using your Apple ID.
The first step towards MobileMe going free, or at least some parts of it? Great move, Apple.

Apple Announces iOS 4.2 Coming Today, Still Not Available for Download
With a press release that went out a few minutes ago, Apple announced that iOS 4.2 is coming today. After much speculation and a series of GM builds, it looks like the OS is ready to go. The download links aren’t live, so we assume it’ll start rolling out at 10 AM PST.

World of Goo Is Coming To The iPad
World of Goo is one of my favorite games for the Nintendo Wii. Even though I haven’t been playing with a “physical” game for the Wii in years now, I don’t mind turning on the console every once in a while to enjoy a brief session of World of Goo. Sold through Nintendo’s WiiWare virtual store, 2D Boy’s still is the highest rated game for the Wii. I guess that says a lot. Read more
