One of my favorite iPad games to date, and the reason why I basically can’t use the iPad over the weekend (my friends regularly come to my place to grab it and play), was updated yesterday to include full Game Center support and online multiplayer.
Fruit Ninja HD, the massive hit by Halfbrick Studios which consists in slicing fruits with your fingers, now allows you to play online with a friend – all you have to do is avoid your opponent’s fruit. Sounds like fun, can’t wait to try it. The new update also brings Game Center support with Leaderboards and Achievements.
Fruit Ninja HD is available at $4.99 in the App Store and it’s totally worth your money. Version 1.1.1 changelog embedded below.

Now that Game Center is up and running on iPad, we at Halfbrick are ready to take charge and provide the best online experience on the App Store! As enjoyed by Fruit Ninja players on iPhone, we have now added online multiplayer to Fruit Ninja HD with Game Center!
It couldn’t be simpler to play - slice your fruit, and avoid your opponent’s fruit! Keep an eye out for the special white fruit that anyone can slice … you’ll have to be fast to collect the extra points!
If you have a Game Center enabled iPad, simply visit the mode select screen, choose Online and get slicing! You can also check out the new Game Center leaderboards to post your high scores, and even unlock Achievements! If you are playing the Auto match-up in online multiplayer, keep an eye out because you never know if you might run into someone from the development team, honing their skills!
The whole team is very proud to have one of the first iPhone games ever to utilise Game Center for multiplayer! We will be supporting Game Center in future updates also, with leaderboards and achievements on the way next!
