Smart Autocomplete for Your Whole Mac
The good folks over at AppAdvice have posted a useful video that rounds up all the rumors we’ve been hearing so far about tomorrow’s WWDC keynote. Safari 5? iPhone HD, 4G or 4? New iPhone OS-based Apple TV?

CNET is reporting this afternoon that the iPhone holds 28% of the market share, while Android only holds 9%. The iPhone is certainly a popular device, but didn’t earlier reports have Apple at around 21% with Android at 28%? What’s going on here? As it stands, Apple and Google are playing a very tough game of tug of war, and neither is backing down. Though with Android phones coming out every month, compared to yearly releases of the iPhone, will popularity or sheer production win out in the end?
According to MacGeneration, Apple is getting ready to launch Safari 5 and Mac OS X 10.6.4 at the WWDC. While 10.6.4 should be an update geared towards stability and compatibility improvements, the new version of Safari should carry a lot of new features, such as Reader.
Apple has released its official application for WWDC attendees. It’s available over at developer.apple.com/wwdc/app and requires you to login with the same account you used to purchase your WWDC ticket.
The Safari browser on the iPad is okay, but it leaves so much to be desired on that big, beautiful screen. Markus Schmeiduch decided to mock up what Google Chrome might look like on the iPad, and does an amazing job of describing features, gestures, all while providing drool worthy photographs. If there was an iPad application to lust for, this particular iteration of Google Chrome would be it.
Ever since Twitter acquired Loren Brichter’s Tweetie, we all wondered what was going to happen to Tweetie for Mac - the most popular Twitter client on Mac OS X. Then Twitter platform / API head Ryan Sarver confirmed with a post on the official development group that they had acquired the Mac version as well as part of the deal with Loren. That was a huge relief, as we all feared that with new job Loren could drop the development of his great Mac app.
Then Twitter announced they would discontinue Basic Auth support by the end of June and we all figured - well, Tweetie for Mac is going to be updated and we’ll keep using it. Developers started updating their clients to work with OAuth, but Tweetie for Mac was standing still. We kept hoping. Weeks passed by.
On June 1st, we freaked out. The Month of Judgement came and Tweetie for Mac was still based on Basic Auth. “Where the hell is my OAuth Tweetie?”, someone wrote.
Guys, chill. Tweetie for Mac is going to be updated later this month.
I imagine none of our readers like a Microsoft fanboy. After all, the last thing we need is more PC loving inbreds spreading viruses and adding their imperfect machines to the gene pool. In order to overcome such a second-rate race, Apple users need to band together to ensure our continued offspring will be Mac loving geniuses. MacRumors has discovered a Youtube video showing Adobe’s Audition software running on Mac OS X. Audition is an audio production application geared towards professional users, and the current 3.0 version is available on Windows only.
Could this be the official Mac version? Sure it doesn’t look fake. Check out the video after the break.
