Give us a better way to discover new apps, not the grossing thing.

There’s no doubt that Mac OS is the favourite platform for creative people and professionals: it’s stable, features rich and there are tons of applications for every need.
But this is not a secret.
Today, I’m very excited to announce a new post series on MacStories, “Recorded On A Mac”. This new series will focus on artists / bands that used Mac OS to record / edit their songs, with thoughts about the whole process and their favourite tools and apps.
The first band which agreed to collaborate with MacStories are Hydrovibe, an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, United States. They’re also offering a free download of their new album “Nothing Left To Lose” to 10 lucky readers.
Interview and giveaway rules after the jump!
Following my previous roundup about 60 Awesome Mac Apps Websites, I decided to start collecting the best examples of iPhone apps webpages.
The result is very interesting: many websites share the same practices and trends, other really stand out from the crowd.
If you have suggestions for other cool and innovative designs, I’d love to hear about that in the comments.
Enjoy! ;)
You’ve probably already heard of Simplenote: it’s a note taking application for iPhone which syncs with its online server and each note you take on the mobile device will then be available through the web interface.
Simple and straighforward.
John Gruber also showed his love for Simplenote back in July.
So, what if we could have a desktop client for Mac? Here comes JustNotes, a beta app I’ve discovered the last week.
I recently made the big step and started using Safari instead of Firefox for my tasks. This has been a big change for me, and I still have to figure out many things to find the perfect workflow.
Anyway, there was something I needed in the first place: a plugin to manage Delicious bookmarks. I mean, I add dozens of new bookmarks everyday, and while Firefox has its official plugin, Safari is still unsupported by Delicious.
Fortunately, I stumbled upon DeliciousSafari which is one of the best Safari plugins I’ve tried so far.
I usually tweet a lot of stuff: apps tutorials, news, videos, reviews, hacks and so much more. Everything that’s Apple-related and it’s interesting, it’s worth a tweet.
To keep up to date with all these links you can follow me on Twitter, but in case you missed here’s a small compilation of the best tweets of the past week.
You can find me on Twitter as @storiesofmac.
Enjoy!
Have you ever wished to run any application on your Mac in full screen mode? Now, thanks to Ian Henderson, you can.
Indeed, Megazoomer has been updated to support Snow Leopard, and it really rocks.
There’s no doubt that QuickLook is one of the best things about Mac OS X: it provides easy and quick previews for any kind of file. However, QuickLook has a few major drawbacks: if you switch to another application the QuickLook window hides. Even with Exposè, you can’t retrieve the preview you opened. And, you can’t use more than one QuickLook.
Yesterday I stumbled upon this new app, DropLook ,which seems very interesting.
Here are the names of the winners of a promo code of Measures for iPhone. Remember that you’ll need a U.S. iTunes account to redeem the code.
