iPad Will Get Retina Display
The iPhone is always the first to get new features; if succesful, they trickle on to other products. With the Retina Display being one of Apple’s newest features on the iPhone, we may see the beautiful display display come to the iPad. It would make sense considering that the iPad is great for reading text – Paul Miller from Engadget, however, often reminds us that the iPad’s low pixel density can be a problem for the most devout eBook Readers.
Spirit Developers Are Porting Flash to the iPhone
The guys behind the popular Spirit jailbreak for iPhone are working on a native Flash version for iPhone. No transcoding needed, no conversions, it runs as you can see in the preview video below.

A better Amazon S3 Engine. Support for ExpanDrive’s upcoming storage service, Strongspace. And a whole ton of performance upgrades. ExpanDrive has been updated to v2.1.0, and it’s pretty great.
If you haven’t heard of ExpanDrive, it’s an awesome Mac utility that allows you to mount remote and network drives with ease. NPR iPad App Reaches 350,000 Downloads
The NPR iPad application is one of the best news apps currently available in the App Store. People seem to know that too, and according to NPR CEO Vivian Schiller the app has already been downloaded 350,000 times. An impressive result, which makes the app one of the most popular amongst iPad users.
Microsoft Paying iPhone Developers to Port Games to Windows Phone 7?
I’ve heard some shady things before, but this takes the cake. Sure we have some iPhone developers porting games to Android, but that is by choice. When you’re approached by Microsoft, it reeks of desperation. Does Microsoft not have their own developer community that’s ready to jump at the chance to develop for Windows Phone 7? Apparently not.
iPad USB Typewriter [Video]
So you’re looking for cool iPad accessories. You already have a case, a dock, some additional cables. Perhaps you should consider a USB Typewriter now.
“The USBTypewriter is a new and groundbreaking innovation in the field of obsolescence. Lovers of the look, feel, and quality of old fashioned manual typewriters can now use them as keyboards for any USB-capable computer, such as a PC, Mac, or even iPad! The modification is easy to install, it involves no messy wiring, and does not change the outward appearance of the typewriter. So the end result is a retro-style USB keyboard that not only looks great, but feels great to use.”
Available at $400 - $500 here (it’s handmade, meaning that each model is different), or at $75 as DIY kit. Check out the promo video after the break.

Dejaplay, Social Video Aggregator for iPad
YouTube is a huge productivity killer. Seriously, there’s no place like YouTube if you want to spend some time browsing videos and listen to your favorite artists, but problem is - those “15 minutes a day” always become 2 hours of wasted work. Unless you use some software like Concentrate, I guess it happened to you as well.
Most of the time though, it’s hard to find videos you really care about: you usually start from a silly Steve Jobs parody and then somehow end up watching a 1984 interview, but what if you could start from videos you know you’re interested in the first place?
Dejaplay for iPad aims at being your ultimate video aggregator by selecting videos shared by your Twitter and Facebook contacts.
