The following video was streamed live worldwide from Brooklyn on Monday, June 21 2010. It features finger painting with the Brushes iPad app by artist David Jon Kassan, and the original session was approximately 3 hours long. The speed painting video is just 8 minutes.
Really, you haven’t seen anything like this. This is the finest example of how Apple’s tablet is indeed meant for content production, not only consumption.

The guys over at Redmond Pie have managed to modify the iMovie application file and install it on an iPhone 3GS. As you can see from the video after the break, it works just fine, despite Apple selling it as iPhone 4 exclusive for its high RAM requirements.
I assume that to do this you’ll have to edit the .ipa file of the app and enter a few strings to add 3GS support, then move the app into your device via SSH or iTunes. Redmond Pie removed the step-by-step guide due to Apple DRM violation, so I can’t tell. If you installed iMovie on your 3GS too, please let us know.
Synergy is a well known open-source project that allows you to share a single mouse and keyboard across multiple computers, each with its own screen and hardware. You just move the mouse around and switch keyboard from device to device. I think it best represents Ive’s and Jobs’ definition of “magical”, actually.
You’ve come such a long way, µTorrent. I remember when I used to launch you on Windows, back in my other life when I was a PC user. Then I moved to a Mac, and started using the much-acclaimed Transmission, a fantastic client which has recently been updated to 2.0, with tons of new features and optimizations.

Apple released iOS 4 last week but there’s still a considerable amount of iPhone and iPod Touch users who haven’t been able to install it on their devices. They keep getting timeout sessions, iTunes errors and backups taking hours and hours just to never complete.
This morning, Google has released a mobile version of the Google Docs viewer for mobile browsers you might be familiar with on your desktop – allowing you to easily fly through PDFs and documents on your iPhone or iPad (Android too). Switch quickly between pages, zoom in and out, and view your documents in the cloud without the need to download.
A great video that shows how much Apple’s design has changed in 30 years. But yes, the Macintosh is still awesome.
