iPad Stands, Mounts, Coming Soon

TUAW has come across a couple new interesting products to supplement our iPads, with the first being a stand. A four pound solid steel stand that is. Starting at $59.99, the Stabile iPad stand promises to turn your iPad into a wee little iMac.

The second product, the Pad Bracket, wants to mount your iPad directly to the wall . I don’t know if I want to use my iPad nailed to the wall all day (for $24.95), but it would be a great for quickly storing your iPad out of the way as you enter the office.

Check out the links to see if any of these suit your fancy. Else, maybe you like to find an iPad Case from our friends at iPad Case Finder.

Will AT&T Bring Tethering to the Next iPhone?

Mac|Life has discovered a feature in the newest iPhone Beta that may be revealing AT&T’s plans to enable tethering. With the next Android update posed to allow Wi-Fi tethering built in (no more rooting), it’d be smart for Apple to do the same. While we don’t know what networks will allow tethering (or whether they’ll charge extra for it) on the Android side of things, AT&T’s reputation would be substantially improved if they set the standard by giving us free tethering. I do have dreams ya know.

The iPhone is More Awesome than Space Travel.

I think people are gradually getting bored with the notion of space travel. It was cool to think about how we could populate Mars in the 1960s, but now it’s just a pipe dream that’s certainly not going to be accomplished in our lifetimes. So of course the iPhone is more important than space travel - it gets stuff done. Unlike space travel, which really hasn’t gone anywhere.

iPhone Sales Up 112% in First Quarter of 2010

Who says the iPhone market is dying? Amongst all the Android hubbub, Apple is gaining new footholds in the UK, China, and South Korea, leading to a 8.4 million units sold. In only a year, Apple has gone from a market share of 1.5 percent to 2.7 percent, and they aren’t slowing down any time soon. With the impending release of next iPhone in only a matter of months, and the possible addition of new carriers in the US, Apple’s sales are expected to substantially increase, but can they surpass companies like Nokia and Samsung in world market share?

iPod Touch with Camera Leaked in Vietnam

Did you know that “leak” is a Vietnamese word? Not really, but it seems like every new Apple product is coming out from there first these days.

Today, we have a leak of an iPod Touch with camera, which is as mythical as unicorn tears - if you’ve been in the Apple-related news loop for a while now. There are pictures and videos, tour of Vietnamese cafè included. It’s a 2MP camera and the device is running a diagnosis firmware we’ve seen in action before.

Check it out after the break.

More on iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4: Camera Flash for iPod and iPad, 10.7 Mentions

The good folks over at 9to5mac have discovered some interesting code references in the latest OS beta that seem to confirm that the iPod Touch will indeed have a Flash camera. But what about the iPad? Yeah, it is mentioned too - maybe the 2nd gen will really have a camera with flash included.

Last, 10.7 is finally officially mentioned by Apple in the SDK. Check out the screenshots after the break.
