Stay: Train Your Windows

If you are anything like me, than at any given time you’ve got 30 windows open and at least 17 apps running at once.

The only thing that keeps me from going completely insane is my second 21” screen I have plugged into my Macbook Pro (15” screen) ninety percent of the time. Now, the extra real estate is awesome when I have all 30 windows open and organized among my spaces the way I like. It becomes cumbersome, however, when I unplug my laptop from the screen to go downstairs. My 30 windows become 30 huge billboards all trying to compete for my attention. Read more

Why Jailbreak Makes The iPhone 4 A Better Device: My Setup

Two months ago I wrote that jailbreak on iOS 4 still had its importance, but when JailbreakMe came out earlier this month I was very disappointed that the iPhone 4 wasn’t really supported. Sure, I could jailbreak my iPhone and install Cydia - but what for? Tweaks and apps weren’t updated for the Retina Display and new device, there was the possbility to break FaceTime and MMS and, overall, it seemed like JailbreakMe for the iPhone 4 was released just for the sake of it.

Fast forward 20 days, and I can’t imagine having a un-jailbroken iPhone 4 anymore. What happened?

iPad Accessories Of The Day: iPADock, KeyCase iPad Folio

These are two interesting peripherals I’ve stumbled upon today which I’d be interested in trying out. First, the iPADock: even if the manufacturer is still looking for a ditributor in the US (and we’ll keep you posted about that), the dock already looks great. Basically, it allows you to charge and dock multiple iDevices in one single place: two iPads, and iPad and two iPhones, four iPhones simulateneously. It’s also got seven USB hubs and memory card slots.

The KeyCase iPad Folio (as first spotted by Engadget) turns your iPad into a complete netbook: it packs a keyboard inside a leather case. Maybe it’s not the most elegant solution ever but hey, you have an Apple netbook.

World’s Fastest Texting on iPhone 4 [Video]

Can you imagine writing the phrase:

“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human”

on the iPhone 4 virtual keyboard in 20 seconds? That’s Gumball Tech’s blogger Brian Sweet did, becoming the world fastest texter. I’m pretty sure that there’s someone faster than Brian out there, so if you’re reading - you just have to record a video of your performance and tip us.

Apple Will Dominate The Tablet Market with iPad

Well, that’s pretty much stating the obvious, right? Not quite. iPad competitors (like the “inspired” Galaxy Tab) are coming out fast, some of them will be out by the holiday season and we all know that manufacturers can’t wait to start releasing hundreds of these products in the market. So one may think Apple will have to face some hard times going forward.

Market research firm iSuppli doesn’t think so.
