HDREnabler Brings HDR Capabilities To The iPod Touch | Cydia

The new iPod Touch is good but it’s not an iPhone 4. In fact, it hasn’t got the same Retina Display (no IPS technology for iPod Touch users) and it can’t shoot photos as well as the iPhone 4 can. Particularly, iPod Touch users have been looking for a way to enable HDR photography, and now thanks to HDREnabler (version 1.1-1) available for free in Cydia they can. Read more

Steve Jobs’ Personal Gift To Chilean Miners: An iPod

After 68 days of fears and hopes, the Chilean miners trapped underground have been rescued earlier today. You may have already heard of this great news. As a personal gift from Apple’s charismatic leader Steve Jobs, each of them will be getting an iPod.

LeFigaro is reporting the news, and we don’t know which model they’ll get, but I guess an iPod Touch 4th gen would be more than appropriate. If only they had FaceTime before, they would have had the chance to see their beloved ones during those terrible days.

Not Your Ordinary $100 iPhone Stand

What’s $100 to a loyal Apple supporter like yourself? Instead of keeping that Benjamin tucked away in your wallet, why not use it as an iPhone or iPod Touch stand?

In this dated YouTube video from December 2007, photographer Enrique Pardo uses his origami skills to fold a $100 bill into a stand for an iPhone or iPod touch. Those of you on a budget, go for a Lincoln or even a Washington, but make sure it’s nice and crisp. [via TUAW] Read more

The Ultimate iOS Pie Chart

At least, that’s what asymco claims. We knew that there were 59.6 million iPhones and 3.2 million iPads through June; at the music event last Wednesday, Apple announced that 120 million iOS devices were sold to date. So asymco assumed that Apple sold 8 million iPhones and 4 million iPads during July and August, and they came up with a 45.2 million iPod Touches sold to date estimate. That’s 37.7% of total units. The iPod Stocking Stuffers: iPod nano vs. iPod touch

You Can’t Define The iPod Touch

The new iPod Touch is awesome. It’s got two cameras (even though the rear one isn’t the same of the iPhone’s), it’s got an all new sleek and thinner design, it’s got a Retina Display. Unlike many people said on Twitter today, it’s the same Retina Display you’re used to on the iPhone 4. The camera is different, the display’s the same. The new iPod Touch is one hell of a music player.

Or, it’s not a music player at all. It takes photos and HD videos, it’s got a state-of-the-art display perfect for reading and gaming - Steve Jobs himself said the iPod Touch outsells both Sony and Nintendo combined.

It’s time to stop thinking about the iPod Touch as an iPod.
