Earlier today we’ve talked about Infinidock, a tweak available in Cydia that lets you put how many icons you want in your iPhone and iPad dock. You can scroll, create pages for dock apps and set a number of apps to have in each page. The developer of this tweak, @chpwn, has developer another cool utility called Infiniboard that allows you to create vertical pages on your home screen.

A Guide to iPad Video Compression for the Web
Great post over at MediaStorm, outlining the best practices for compressing video for the iPad.
An iPad Controlled Blimp [Video]
I knew all along that the iPad would turn out to be an amazing device, but a blimp controller with integrated cockpit view? No, I didn’t think of that.
The guys over at BreakfastNY.com have created a modified BlimpDuino which is controlled by the iPad’s accelerometer through a custom software which connects to a built in computer. The iPad thus becomes the real controller which also displays what the blimp sees via an attached front camera.
It’s awesome, check out the video after the break.
Extend Your iPad Dock with Infinidock
With all those extra pixels, I think Apple could have done something more with the iPad dock. You can add more icons than the iPhone, but that’s pretty much it. Fortunately ther are some tweaks in Cydia you can download to enhance the functionality of the iPad dock, and today we’re taking a look at Infinidock from @chpwn.
Japan’s iPad 3G is in Fact Unlocked
Tokyonian Doug Lerner was incredibly concerned about the state of the Japanese iPad 3G Micro SIMs being locked down in the land of the rising sun. So what better way to vent and express one’s frustration than emailing Steve Jobs himself. Doug wrote,
“But in Japan we won’t have the option to buy an internationally usable iPad 3G. SoftBank has been given exclusive rights to sell the iPhone 3G, and the unlimited data option at about $35/month requires committing to a 2-year contract. There aren’t any no-commitment unlimited contracts like the $30 AT&T plan.”
And Steve Replied.
The iPad’s Micro SIM Fitted for iPhone
We’ve seen plenty of articles on how to take your iPhone’s SIM card and cut it down to size for use by the iPad, but what about going the other way around? Fear not people, Hijinks INC has found a hacky (uber geeky) way to make it all work. If you have the guts, click the link below for more information.

Skype for iPad Coming This Summer
According to Skype’s Asia-Pacific VP, Dan Neary, Skype will have a native iPad version of its client out by this summer. The app currently works in compatibility mode, but users are forced to run it in double-pixel or mini mode.
Neary also hints at the upcoming iPhone “HD” with front facing camera and a new iPad with enhanced communication capabilities:
“We believe that video is part of the Skype experience,” says the VP, “and we believe that video is moving aggressively into the mobile environment, so stay tuned on an announcement on that.
I think the iPad is an incredibly exciting product but it is clearly not the same communications device in its current form that the iPhone is,” he says. “So we’re looking forward to further advancements in the iPad and where that can go in the future.”
