iPad USB Typewriter [Video]

So you’re looking for cool iPad accessories. You already have a case, a dock, some additional cables. Perhaps you should consider a USB Typewriter now.

“The USBTypewriter is a new and groundbreaking innovation in the field of obsolescence. Lovers of the look, feel, and quality of old fashioned manual typewriters can now use them as keyboards for any USB-capable computer, such as a PC, Mac, or even iPad! The modification is easy to install, it involves no messy wiring, and does not change the outward appearance of the typewriter. So the end result is a retro-style USB keyboard that not only looks great, but feels great to use.”

Available at $400 - $500 here (it’s handmade, meaning that each model is different), or at $75 as DIY kit. Check out the promo video after the break.

Dejaplay, Social Video Aggregator for iPad

YouTube is a huge productivity killer. Seriously, there’s no place like YouTube if you want to spend some time browsing videos and listen to your favorite artists, but problem is - those “15 minutes a day” always become 2 hours of wasted work. Unless you use some software like Concentrate, I guess it happened to you as well.

Most of the time though, it’s hard to find videos you really care about: you usually start from a silly Steve Jobs parody and then somehow end up watching a 1984 interview, but what if you could start from videos you know you’re interested in the first place?

Dejaplay for iPad aims at being your ultimate video aggregator by selecting videos shared by your Twitter and Facebook contacts.

Buzzie for Google Buzz. Reviewed.

I’m slowly rediscovering Google Buzz. I know, I know: it’s not Twitter. And yes, yet it looks so damn similar to it. Google Buzz is one of those things Google launches and then forgets about, but it turns out that there are many interesting users to follow on Buzz who daily share a plethora of cool links, Scobleizer being one of them. So I decided to give it a try and go look for some applications to use with it.

I stumbled upon Buzzie from Alberto Garcìa Hierro and I have to say it’s pretty good app for Google Buzz.

Redesigned Time Magazine Follows in Wired’s Footsteps

With Wired setting the bar for gorgeous, high-quality, interactive magazines on the iPad, Time shows us what they’ve cooked up. Though in Time’s case, there’s a lot going on in terms of navigation that makes it feel really cluttered. There’s too many ways you can interact with pages that don’t seem intuitive, but we’ll see.

I am most impressed with being able to view a map of the stories: that is really important to me. Equally as interesting is Wired’s comments system, which I wouldn’t expect from a magazine – do I really want read the same trollish comments I can online?

Considering I just cancelled my cable plan (why would you do such a thing!?), Time will be great for keeping an eye on the world around me so I don’t lose track of current events. I’m hopeful this will be out soon, and you can find a quick video after the break.
