When we think of a Finder replacement, Path Finder comes to mind as something that extends what we know and love. Other’s might think of ‘tabbed browsing’ as a useful extension, but what about replacing the Finder completely? Raskin does just that, giving you a scrollable platform of which you can easily preview files on your computer.

Apple Launches “Remotes, Apps to Control Your World” Section in the App Store
Apple has introduced a new section in the App Store: Remotes - Apps to Control Your World, which lists all the best remote applications available for iPhone and iPad. Some great apps such as iTeleport and HippoRemote are in there, so you’d better check out this section here.

Follow WWDC 2010 Keynote Live on MacStories
If you’ve been living under a giant iPod Touch for the past three months, you might need to know that the WWDC is officially kicking off in 3 days, with a keynote from Apple CEO Steve Jobs on June 7th. The expectations are very high, considering that a new iPhone will be announced (and made available the same day, many blogs are reporting) and much other iPhone OS-related goodness will be shown.
It’s gonna be a great event, and we’re sure Steve will be able to make it even better.

AT&T Discontinues the iPhone 3G
Well it was a good run at least. With AT&T no longer selling the iPhone 3G according to the Boy Genius Report, we can only expect the iPhone 3GS to claim the 3G’s current price point as the next iPhone makes its induction. And with 3G being discontinued so soon, we expect the next iPhone to make its way to market by the end of the month.

I’m not into photography or film, so I have no idea why focusing multiple DSLR cameras wirelessly would be beneficial when you can’t even look at what the hell you’re focusing - but don’t let my ignorance of such topics ruin a perfectly badass device. WirelessIris is an iPhone app that allows you to focus multiple lenses in conjunction with a receiver.

New AT&T Plans and iPad 3G Shortage Incite Shopping Panic
Something AT&T didn’t expect when it changed their plans on Monday was the influx of customers who are now racing to purchase an iPad 3G in hopes of getting on the old $30 Unlimited plan, which ends June 7th. The New York Times reports that many customers are downright dissatisfied with AT&T’s new policies, and with the iPad 3G at a shortage, they’re panicking they’ll have to settle for presumably worse. Not wanting to lose potential customers, however, AT&T is considering allowing people to pre-purchase iPad 3G units and sign up for the plan they want as to alleviate people’s fears. Still, even if many are arguing that these plans are actually better for you, I argue that a savings in only $5 doesn’t constitute capped data; many customers (even if many are uninformed) are incredibly concerned about these new policies. AT&T, you may want to make a special exception for the iPad as to uphold the original strategy.
