Nokia Makes Fun of Apple with “How do you hold your Nokia?”

Steve Jobs says that the antenna problem is common to every smartphone out there, and you can believe him or not. What about other smartphone makers though? How do they face this “situation” Apple created with the iPhone 4?

Well, you can come out like Nokia did and try to make fun of Apple with a blog post titled “How do you hold your Nokia?”, assuring your customers that there’s no right or wrong way to hold a phone. They even posted some sort of gallery showing all the different ways to hold a Nokia cellphone.

Apple Sells 1.7 Million iPhone 4 Units in 3 Days

Apple has just issued a press release announcing that they have sold 1.7 iPhone 4 units in 3 days. In the press release, Steve Jobs says that the iPhone 4 launch has been the most successful in Apple’s history and they apologize to all those people who haven’t been able to buy an iPhone 4. No official word about the “antenna issues” yet.

As for the July launch in 18 more countries, it is still scheduled by the end of next month.

Caffeinated App: A NetNewsWire Theme

Remember Caffeinated app? It’s an upcoming Google Reader app for Mac which we previewed last year, and the developers are still working hard to get a first alpha version out there.

July iPhone 4 Release Date Spotted on Orange Website?

Apple hasn’t announced the official July release date for the iPhone 4 yet, but there are a few hints suggesting that it might launch between July 15 and July 31. Remember the white iPhone? Apple said it would launch by the second half of July because they’re having some problems manufacturing it. Then, some providers have already removed their iPhone 3GS plans from their homepages and said new plans for “something new” are coming “soon”.

Now, ApfelBlog has discovered some strings in Orange’s website (the provider that carries the iPhone 3GS in Switzerland) which report that the iPhone 4 is “not available yet but will launch on July 31”.

Kindle App Gets Video and Audio Support

Last night Amazon announced an update for its official Kindle app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to add support for embedded audio and video in books. The first books to support the enriched audio & video experience include Les Miserables, Together We Cannot Fail and Best of Beatles. It’s available in the App Store here.

Apple Posts New iPhone 4 Commercial, Featuring FaceTime

If you downloaded the WWDC ‘10 keynote from iTunes (or watched it online), you’ve already seen this. In case you haven’t, Apple has posted a new iPhone 4 commercial entirely focused on FaceTime, the video calling technology built in the new iPhone. You can watch the ad here.

The 1 minute video shows different usage scenarios for FaceTime: a deaf couple signing, a kid graduating, a baby smiling to his dad on the iPhone screen. Like I said when I first saw the ad, well done.
