Check Your Daily Schedule with Easy Agenda for iPad

If you have an iPad, you’ve probably already tried to organize tasks, notes and other random pieces of text into the native Notes app. And if you really tried to do so, I guess you’re highly disappointed, considering how much Notes app should have been improved. Even though it sports a nice looking user interface now, Notes app still lacks any kind of over the air sync using MobileMe, support for better organization and sorting of notes, other fonts than damn Marker Felt. I wouldn’t suggest to people who need to take quick notes every once in a while, either.

The calendar app is pretty good instead. The interface has been highly refined, there’s a good amount of useful features and you can use MobileMe to keep your calendars in sync. Easy Agenda from 2 Boxes Studio is a simple iPad app that tries to combine the note tasking aspect of notes and the daily routine features of Calendar.

Just like a real agenda, you have a sheet for each day and a row for each hour of the day. If you have a meeting, an event or whatever you have to do, just write it down in the proper row. As you can guess, that’s pretty straightforward and the iPad works great for this. Easy Agenda looks good, the animations are fairly smooth and it’s easy to look at a day and get a quick glimpse of what’s going on. Sure it’s no GTD, but I know many people who still uses agendas and are happy with them.

What if you want to write something during a meeting? Just tap on the top icon and the app will present you another screen with a blank text field to either enter some text using the keyboard or your finger. The finger recognition is not as good as Penultimate’s one, but it works.

That’s it for Easy Agenda. It’s a simple, good looking application that lets you enter your daily (hourly) tasks and even some notes about them. If you’re not a GTD user and don’t like the approach of apps like Taska and Things, give Easy Agenda a try. Available in the App Store at $2.99.
