iPhone 4: Unlocked, SIM-free, Expensive In the UK

If you don’t want to commit to a provider for 2 years with the iPhone and you happen to live in Britain, well this is your lucky day. Sort of.

Apple has announced the pricing of the new unlocked and SIM-free models, and as you can guess they’re not cheap. £499 for the 16GB version, £599 for 32GB - with the current conversion rates it’s around $730 for 16GB and $883 for 32GB.

It seems like the iPhone 4 killed Apple’s website. Since Apple started pre-orders on its new device earlier today, many people reported that the website was slow, unresponsive and that they had to click multiple times to confirms their choices and try to get the order through.

Microsoft Paying iPhone Developers to Port Games to Windows Phone 7?
