HyperDock Brings Windows 7’s Aero Peek to OS X

Having used Windows 7 for some time in the past months (I’m always curious to see whether Windows is getting better or not), I’m particularly impressed by the usefulness of Aero Peek, a feature that allows you to get a quick preview of a program window by simply hovering over its icon in the taskbar. It’s pretty handy and fast at letting you see what you’re about to open.

Well, HyperDock for Mac (released as beta) does just that: it brings Aero Peek functions to OS X through a completely native application that not only works great (I repeat, it’s a first beta) but it manages to combine a handful of other features with window previews, turning out to be a must-have tool for serious Mac users already. Snowtape 2.0 Released with Background and Scheduled Recordings - 3 Copies Up for Grabs

Snowtape is a beautifully designed Mac application that allows you to listen to online radio stations, and record them as .mp3 files to save on your hard drive for offline access. It’s got a great icon, a delicious UI design (possibly one of the most impressive apps I have on my Mac, design-wise) but most of all just works. It’s one-click listening and recording, and the newly released version 2.0 adds a couple of great features worth considering Snowtape once again. Read more

Alarms for Mac: A Perfect Companion For GTD Apps

On my Mac, iPad and iPhone I use OmniFocus to help me getting things done. I manage various projects in it, schedule tasks and dump all the stuff I need to do at some point in the day. Mac Users Love Macs. Surprised?

If you bought a Mac, I guess you love it. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to know that you’re deeply in love with your newly bought piece of Ive aluminum. Still, it’s interesting to put these love stories to numbers and see how stats change over time.

The latest American Customer Satisfaction Index survey (via 9to5mac) indicates that, over the past 12 months, Apple computers totaled 78 out of 100, 3 points more than the same survey in 2009. PC stats have increased as well, with PC makers like Dell and HP achieving higher stats, too: 77 points.
