John Sculley on Steve Jobs: “I have tremendous admiration for him”

John Sculley is the guy that in 1985 - together with the board of Apple Computer - decided to fire Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple and visionary personality, was fired from his very own company.

Everybody knows the story: Steve later returned to Apple in 1997 after he founded NeXT, made a deal with Bill Gates’ Microsoft to bring Office to the Mac, started the development of Mac OS X.

A Closer Look at the White iPhone 4 [Video]

If you followed our WWDC keynote live coverage, or watched the keynote online yesterday, you should know that the white iPhone 4 was unveiled during the last part of the presentation.

It’s gorgeous, but Steve himself walked on stage with a black model. iSpazio has found a high-quality hands on video with the white unit on Youtube, check it out after the break.

Apple Design Awards 2010 Winners Announced

Apple has announced the winners of this year’s Apple Design Awards (ADA), which unlike the past years are restricted to the iOS platform. We’ve talked about this before.

The Apple Design Awards “recognize applications that demonstrate technical excellence, innovation, technology adoption, and quality.” They represent the best that you can have on iPhone, iPads and iPods.

The iPad Arcade Cabinet

Gamer Hideyoshi Moriya managed to build a custom arcade cabinet for the iPad out of some cardboard, using an Arduino board to connect with joystick and buttons. It’s an amateur project, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see something like this end up in some online store in the future.
