Amazon, Google Shopper, I’m talkin’ to you. You guys have been a serious letdown to my iPad wantingness. Every time I try to find a stupid case for my beloved device, you shoot me down with silly rubber skins and diamond encrusted leather chinese imports. I will have it no more! Thanks to iPad Case Finder, I’ll no longer be needing your services.
Instinctiv, An Alternative to doubleTwist
There are definitely a lot of new kids on the block nowadays. For the iTunes alternatives, we don’t have to look farther than Ecoute and Everplay for smaller solutions, and Songbird and doubleTwist as full library / syncing replacements for our multitude of devices. With doubleTwist making a name for itself with its ability to sync to the Droid (including recent Podcast and Amazon integration), one more player has stepped into the field that’s currently open to the public. Instinctiv syncs playlists to my Droid, shuffles music to my mood, and is a rather simple solution for playing and searching your music.
Flash isn’t multi-platform. It’s Flash Player or nothing.
You might have read a little essay by a certain Steve Jobs (whom I presume was cozied in a black leather chair with his iPad) which pertained to the death of Flash on Apple’s mobile devices. It was strict, thoughtful, and carefully worded in such a way as to close all holes against Apple’s decision. In my eyes, the message wasn’t written to be a damning statement against Adobe, a company that develops incredible products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. Rather, this was written as a final message to the public that thoroughly explains Apple’s position on Flash. It’s a statement that should have allowed everyone to move on.
Yet when approached, Adobe’s own Shantanu Narayen stepped forward once again to combat Apple’s tyrant ruler, naming Jobs’ statement as a “smokescreen” to multi-platform innovation. Like Jobs, Narayen is incredibly passionate about his product and the betterment of the world community. While Jobs and Narayen are polar opposites, whom is right in this matter?
Compartments, Simple Home Inventory. Review & Giveaway!
I don’t know too many people who keep track of home inventory. As we gather things throughout the years, the only times we deal with our stuff en masse is when we move. It’s usually only then do we come across that ol’ cowboy hat tossed in the attic, or grandpa’s military rifle. If something were to happen to your home (god forbid a flood), you’ll want to have your possessions indexed so you can recover from the damages. Compartments from LittleFin Software is a simple solution for keeping track of everything you drag home. Read more
Will iAd become a developer Gold Mine?
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this morning that Apple plans to spend over $1 Million buckaroos on advertisements (iAds) this year. Advertisers are gonna have to pay top dollar to even think about delivering content to Apple’s users, plus create Apple approved experiences that aren’t (putting it lightly) garbage. But what does this mean for App Store customers and developers?
Generate Lorem Ipsum with Loremify
Once in a while I’ll dabble in web development. Nothing too serious (I’m far from a graphic artist), but when I start piecing together various blocks of text, I often rely on filler content to aid me in formatting paragraphs, choosing fonts, and getting everything exactly the way I want it. While some probably have Lorem Ipsum generated by TextExpander, Loremify comes packaged as a neat Dashboard Widget for instant Lorem Ipsum gratification.

Steve Jobs now Making Personal Calls
Update: There was some initial confusion as to who made the call and who Michael talked to. Michael apparently talked to an Apple representative, rather than Steve’o himself. The article has been edited to reflect this change.
So there’ve been some display issues with the new iMacs. No one’s denying that. Now boot issues too? Oh boy. And one Mac loyalist was so fed up with his recent purchase that he wrote a snarky email to Steve Jobs himself about the situation. And what did Steve do? He had a representative leave a voicemail on Michael Weber’s machine. What CEO does this?
Kiwi, The Customizable Rule Based Twitter Client. Review & Giveaway!
Hey all you soon to be Kiwi-heads! Before I even delve into such a review, we’re fully aware that Kiwi is currently one of the great sponsors that help keep our site up and running. In no way shape or form does Kiwi warrant or make endorsements as to the quality and content of the review!

And these people also happen to be incredibly vocal about it. But for those a little leery of customization or other features Kiwi provides, let me show you around a bit.
