Macworld: Safari 5 Secrets

While they aren’t necessarily secrets, they are rather hidden features of the browsers that casual users might not even discover or need to explore. Though once revealed, they can be incredibly helpful. Macworld has posted four Safari 5 secrets that you might be interested in if you’re wanting the most out of Apple’s new web browser.

Of the four secrets, everyone knows about Command-Z. As long as a text field isn’t active, you can re-open the last closed tab. It’s pretty handy, and much better than undoing actions in Safari 4. The second interesting secret was on how to get RSS instead of the Reader icon in your address bar. Simply click and hold the mouse on the Reader icon, and you can make your selection.

Macworld also details how to turn off private browsing, and how to add a true refresh button to Safari 5. You can read the details about their four secrets at their blog posting here.
