I bought a French iPhone 4 on eBay, 16GB model. I paid a lot for it, but I’m not complaining - I needed one. Waiting for Italian providers to comfortably announce their plans wasn’t a viable option. I’ve received the device on Wednesday and had some problems cutting my SIM to fit the new Mini-SIM tray; my first day with the iPhone 4 felt pretty much like using a Retina iPod Touch. Yesterday I managed to buy another SIM, make it mini and finally start using the iPhone 4 - well - as an iPhone.

Two Days With iPhone 4: My First Impressions
First Commercial Shot on iPhone 4 [Video]
FLF Films and director Jerry Dugan, decided to try the newiPhone camera by shooting an entire Minelab commercial with it.
“We were shooting a series of three national spots for them. During the shoot the iPhone 4 came out and we decided we’d shoot and mount the iPhone next to our RED and shoot a whole commercial on the iPhone 4.
We really wanted to see how it would perform on a stabilized platform.”
They even put it on a RC heli for aerial footage. Impressive result, check out the video after the break.

I’ll tell you what, they should make an app for that.
Pulse Mini for iPhone Available in the App Store
Pulse is an innovative and great looking visual news reader for iPad, which has quickly become one of the most popular apps in the App Store - even after Steve Jobs praised it and the New York Times managed to force Apple to temporarily remove it.
The Alphonso Labs developers decided they wanted to do things bigger though, so they started working on an iPhone version of Pulse - Pulse Mini.
iPhone 4, iMovie and Short Films
Is the iPhone 4 really that good at recording HD videos and let you edit them on the go with iMovie? Could this setup ever lead to professional mobile creations?
I was impressed yesterday by the quality of these two videos I stumbled upon on Vimeo, and decided to embed them below. I look forward to start playing with iMovie and see what I can come up with. If you have more videos to share, drop us a comment below.
Live Messenger App for iPhone Passes 1 Million Downloads in 5 Days
In 5 days, people have downloaded the official Live Messenger app for iPhone more than one million times, Microsoft announced on its official Windows Team Blog.
“While Messenger for iPhone is relatively new, for many connecting with Messenger friends on your mobile phone is not new. In addition to the more than one million iPhone Messenger users, there are over 24 million people who connect with Messenger friends from other mobile phones through a client application, their phone’s browser, or SMS. Along with Messenger Connect, Messenger IM in Hotmail, and the coming integration with Xbox LIVE, the new iPhone app is just one more way that we are bringing Messenger to you across the web and on your phone.”
Microsoft should deeply think about its success in the App Store before even thinking about building an alternative.
iMovie Running on iPhone 3GS
The guys over at Redmond Pie have managed to modify the iMovie application file and install it on an iPhone 3GS. As you can see from the video after the break, it works just fine, despite Apple selling it as iPhone 4 exclusive for its high RAM requirements.
I assume that to do this you’ll have to edit the .ipa file of the app and enter a few strings to add 3GS support, then move the app into your device via SSH or iTunes. Redmond Pie removed the step-by-step guide due to Apple DRM violation, so I can’t tell. If you installed iMovie on your 3GS too, please let us know.
