Android Coming to iPod touch

We’ve seen Android work successfully on an iPhone 3G, but what about your iPod touch? I was thrilled to hear the Android might be making its way to our favorite handhelds, as the iPod touch would be the perfect test bench for current iPhone and iPod touch owners to try out a competing operating system. Having the ability to dual boot would be perfect for reviewers like me, which would give me the ability to retain some mobile functionality if I ever left the Droid for the next iPhone.

Steve Jobs: “What have you done that’s so great?”

Apple and Gawker Media seem to have a fatal attraction that continues to plunge into a death spiral. If it wasn’t bad enough that Gizmodo’s asshole antics ruined the reputation of an Apple employee, or slimy/shady deals involving a good scoop, Gawker Contributing Editor Ryan Tate engaged in a heated discussion with Steve Jobs himself yesterday evening.

Ninth Foxconn Employee Commits Suicide

If it already wasn’t sheer madness, it’s getting worse. Inquirer reports a ninth Foxconn employee died after jumping off the Foxconn Technology building in Southern China. However, stab wounds and bloody knife were found at the scene of the man’s death during investigation, and there’s no comment at this time on whether this was actually suicide. However, I’m going to assume the man decided to end it all after an unsuccessful first attempt.

Foxconn is a major partner for Apple, and both companies have come under intense scrutiny after a string of deaths since January. The latest death certainly isn’t going to help their case in improving workplace conditions.

We Love You, We Hate You - We Even Send Emails About You

Here’s a story for you. You have to think as Adobe and Apple as two lovers who chose to slept in two separate beds. They argue, they fight  - but in the end they still love each other. Even if money - a lot of money - is between them, they don’t forget about where they come from.

So Steve Jobs wrote a letter against Flash, and Adobe run an ad campaign in Flash to tell the whole world they love Apple. Oh yeah, the founders also wrote an open letter with lots of trademark symbols and such. Steve attacked, Adobe spreads love. Unusual, isn’t it?

The point is, Apple loves Adobe too. And as MG Siegler over at TechCrunch notices, Apple this morning has started emailing customers that “Adobe CS5 is here”. A coincidence? Maybe. Good timing? For sure.

Until your next thoughts, Steve. Adobe loves you.
