Apple has updated the online developer portal and released a beta of iTunes 9.2 (which we spotted on Apple.com earlier today) and iOS GM Seed.
New features of iTunes 9.2 include support for iPhone 4 sync, iBooks 1.1 support (iPhone and PDFs), possibility to organize icons in folders using iTunes, faster backups and other performance improvements. Seems like a good update.

As Steve Jobs announced that “iPhone OS” was being renamed “iOS”, a lot of you wondered how exactly was Apple thinking of doing it considering that Cisco retained the name “IOS” for many years. Simple: they found an agreement and went for it. Cisco is licensing the “iOS” name to Apple, and that’s it.
On other hand, Apple has acquired the name “FaceTime” from a less known company which is now forced to change its name.

Safari 5 is going live. The new (and somehow unexpected after no mention at the keynote) Safari update features an improved Javascript engine (30% faster), a Reader button in the Address Bar and improved HTML5 support.
There’s lots of people crying about iAds. “It’s this intrusive model that Apple wants to rake money from!” But not really. Making applications is hard work (seriously - try it sometime), but people want applications for free or dirt cheap. You’ll often find a variety of free applications that implement some form of advertising so you can get high quality content with an ad once in a while. Dear consumer: You’ve set the standard on how you want to pay for applications. This is the answer, and it’s geared to help developers make some extra money so they can continue to deliver you more great applications. I truly believe this is a money tree.
Amongst all the announcements made by Steve Jobs at the WWDC 2010 keynote, two of them haven’t exactly got the spot they deserve: Bing and Farmville are coming to the iPhone.
Something I’ve been impressed with since the 3GS was Apple’s video editing software. Their mobile solutions for recording and editing videos have been generally fantastic, and today, it’s gotten really good. iMovie will become an integral part of your iPhone experience, because who doesn’t want to take advantage of that 720p video camera? The whole setup is gorgeous.

AT&T was kind in giving customers the ability to upgrade early for the new iPhone, but what exactly are the eligibility requirements? Confusing as it is, AppleInsider explains:
“Any AT&T customer whose upgrade date occurs before the end of 2010 will be eligible to buy Apple’s new iPhone 4 at the $199 and $299 subsidized pricing up to six months early, with a new two-year contract.
AT&T customers can verify their upgrade eligibility by going to att.com/iphone, or by dialing *639#.”
