The iPhone can’t have all the fun today can it? While we could talk about that amazing device for hours, I’m as equally (if not more) impressed with Apple’s grand App Wall. They’ve had something similar at past events, but you still can’t hold an iPhone up to 30 Mac Pro Towers. Yeah. Video after the break.
What Wasn’t Announced at WWDC 2010
Early this morning and throughout the year, we’ve heard lots of rumors. WWDC is an event that’s really for the iPhone, and unsurprisingly, Apple made no announcement for a lot of potential topics.
iBooks Gets new Features: Bookmarking & Note-Taking Functionality
When iBooks initially launched on the iPad, a lot of people wanted wanted a way to view PDFs, and a better way to bookmark pages. Additionally, people asked for a way to take notes. Apple was listening, and now they’ve implemented these features into the new iBooks for the iPad and iPhone 4 as a part of iOS4.
On AT&T? You’ll be Eligible for the New iPhone June 20th
I honestly don’t remember if AT&T has done this before (chime in with a comment below), but AT&T is making almost everyone eligible for the new iPhone on June 20th. Gizmodo reports:
“According to many reports, AT&T subscriptions that weren’t eligible for phone upgrades until all the way in November have been expedited…”
If you’re So even if you’re on that two year contract and aren’t ready for an upgrade, AT&T is throwing all of that aside. They want you to have the new iPhone, which is spectacular. So pony up two hundred bucks, and get ready to lay out that cash for the world’s most anticipated iPhone yet.
And the 2010 Ars Design Award Winners Are In
So you guys voted for what are only the most badass, flesh eating, insane OS X applications for 2010 in the Ars Technica Design Awards. And if you didn’t, GTFO! Tonight, the results are in, and I bet you can guess which application won, “Best New OS X App.”
Appsaurus 1.5: It Keeps Getting Better & Better
When Federico reviewed Appsaurus 1.0, it came with a glowing review. Here you have a service that goes beyond the call of ‘Genius’ through its personal recommendation engine. Appsaurus has seen growth through it’s short lifespan in the App Store, adding features and learning how to make the best recommendations possible. Now, Appsaurus has gotten to be the app recommendation monster; In my eyes, being far more useful than Apple’s own service.
iPhone OS has Triple the Market Share of Android
CNET is reporting this afternoon that the iPhone holds 28% of the market share, while Android only holds 9%. The iPhone is certainly a popular device, but didn’t earlier reports have Apple at around 21% with Android at 28%? What’s going on here? As it stands, Apple and Google are playing a very tough game of tug of war, and neither is backing down. Though with Android phones coming out every month, compared to yearly releases of the iPhone, will popularity or sheer production win out in the end?
Google Chrome Mockup for iPad is Absolutely Gorgeous
The Safari browser on the iPad is okay, but it leaves so much to be desired on that big, beautiful screen. Markus Schmeiduch decided to mock up what Google Chrome might look like on the iPad, and does an amazing job of describing features, gestures, all while providing drool worthy photographs. If there was an iPad application to lust for, this particular iteration of Google Chrome would be it.
Cupidtino Launches: Mac Users Make Love
I imagine none of our readers like a Microsoft fanboy. After all, the last thing we need is more PC loving inbreds spreading viruses and adding their imperfect machines to the gene pool. In order to overcome such a second-rate race, Apple users need to band together to ensure our continued offspring will be Mac loving geniuses. Cupidtino has launched this afternoon, and it’s the perfect breeding ground for everyone hip and in-style sporting Apple’s latest. If you’re cool and not a PC tool, sign up and find your potential Mac head to ensure the success of smart, creative people unafraid to turn down that silly thing you call Windows.
Sorry Microsoft charmers, you’re just not our type. But we wish you luck! Ciao!
