While I’ve complained every now and then about the price of iBooks compared to hardcover offerings on Amazon (which honestly would equal out anyway after shipping costs), the convenience of downloading books with nothing more than a tap and an instant charge to your credit card is looking rather bright. Not only are people buying iBooks en masse, but this speaks volumes of what people actually think about the iPad: it is in fact a great reading device.

Cockpit, Where Custom Controls take Flight
I was hoping to do this review alongside the MacPilot 4, as to tie together the whole aviation theme. As a Macintosh flyboy, I expect my machine to perform excellently in combat with nothing more than the twitch of my joystick or the press of button. Cockpit by green&slimy software can give aspiring pilots the precision they need to execute their daily tasks. Time to strap in to that five point harness Ace, it’s time for review.

Hacks and Hackers Unite: Develop Sweet iPad Applications for Journalists
As a newbie in the world of journalism and blogging, I’m thankful to not only live in a world where we have the freedom to create amazing content (on incredible pieces of technology), but to share it and inspire people. Hacks/Hackers has a really cool website dedicated to hacks (the people who make and share content) and hackers (the folks who make the hacks’ job possible). It’s inspiring to see people come together to share stories, develop new media, and spread the love. MacPilot 4, A Seriously Powerful Mac Utility
Koingo has been great to me as a software company. One of my favorite Mac utilities from them, AirRadar, is an essential tool I use when setting up wireless networks. ImageSmith, another often used product, is great for batch resizing photos to be shared online. One of their latest products, MacPilot 4, is absolutely mind boggling. Anything you’ve wanted to tweak on your Mac, uncover, or otherwise harness control of can now done through this single, feature rich utility.
