Digitimes: New 11.6-inch Macbook Air Coming This Year

Digitimes is reporting of new Apple products again this week. This time, we’re hearing about a brand new, even lighter 11.6-inch Macbook Air which is set to launch by the second half of 2010, together with a new iPod Touch powered by a 3MP camera. Not 5. These rumor makers better take a decision about the new iPod Touch camera.

“Apple is ready to launch a new generation MacBook Air featuring an 11.6-inch display and Intel Core i-series ultra-low voltage processor in the second half of 2010, as well as a new iPod touch in August or September. Both devices will be manufactured by Quanta Computer, according to Mingchi Kuo, senior analyst at Digitimes Research.”

The Macbook Air isn’t exactly the most successful product Apple has released. Can a new, cheaper & lighter model help?  We hope so. As for the iPod Touch, that’s pretty much a given - hey, September isn’t too far away now.
