@Dan Grover, Yeah, I love Shovebox. Actually, I use both Shovebox and Yojimbo on my Mac: Yojimbo is a big database where I store "permanent" stuff, Shovebox for temporary notes and links. You'll read about it on my review, I'm just taking some time to deeply test it :)

Anyway, would it possible to get the original file name?

Neat tutorial. I'm humbled you took the time to reverse engineer the app.

For those that don't want to go through the hassle, surprisingly enough, there's also a ShoveBox desktop app :).

@Andy Tuba, Seems like Yojimbo doesn't merge stuff but create new notes. That sucks.

Anyway, I can't get Shovebox to retrieve the original filename. It's stored in the .sql database, I think.

How well does Yojimbo handle importing the same note twice? Will it replace its old copy of the note with what's being imported or create a new copy of it?

Hmm. I wonder if it's possible to rename Shovebox's exported note with its title inside Shovebox; can you get access to that data? That might lead to issues with duplicate notes in Yojimbo depending on how it handles the import..
