For those who watched the show, but who have never used an Apple II, let alone with the somewhat rare Apple III monitor (rare because the Apple III was a buggy business computer that failed, but you could see its monitor being used by a few with their more-stable Apple IIe in later years): That switch on the front, the one to the right of the screen? You may remember Sayid and / or Desmond frantically flipping it after one of our heroes accidentally shot the computer while arguing with Desmond. In the show, they were VERY worried when the compy didn’t boot up when they flipped that switch. But. . . that’s not the computer’s power switch, it’s only the MONITOR power switch. Since it was the CPU that was damaged and not the monitor. . . oh, well, who cares. . . It annoyed me when I watched it.
