If you are in another country where your data plan would create huge costs, I can sync all current news PLUS their websites with Byline via free WLAN at some McDonald's or so and read them later offline. As I have some feeds where there are only headlines or some short introductional texts, this is a required feature for me.

@David Segonds, yes this is what keeps me from switching over from Byline. This means that you need to have a continuous connection to the Internet in order to read articles which contain pictures.

Reeder does not cache pictures. I'd been using NetNewsWire on iPhone until they bodged the UI and then Free RSS. So, having installed Reeder - where is the stunning UI and unmissable animations? You mean it scrolls to specific points in the page?!? Worst of all it only syncs with external services (compared to Free Rss (note FREE) which syncs with these and more) - I don't seem to be able to subscribe via the app to a feed of my choice. Surely I don't have to subscribe via Google Reader first (Google's iphone effort is free also)? On the plus side I've only just downloaded it so maybe I'm missing something so will give it a longer play.

Hm, bought this app after reading this review – but was disappointed.
