Basically this gets my recommendation, but it does lack landscape and searching in external volumes (however you can access and browse them).

And it did seem to crash once in a while during searches when I tried to really push it. And it doesn't handle aliases (shortcuts) correctly.

And that's the ONLY bad things I can say about it! Even the 3G mobile connection etc. worked flawlessly for me. The only setup required was installing the mac app and setting a password then pairing the device over WiFi (a one time setup).

As far as UI, I just wish the "top level list" looked just like all the other "inside folder lists".

Can anyone tell me what the advantages of HFF are, compared to all the VNC clients in the AppStore?

I've never used one of those so I am a total newbie. But the concept sounds somehow similar (accessing your Mac from the iPhone), so where are the exact differences and advantages/disadvantages?

Would really appreciate an explanation – going to buy one or the other app!

Just about to download this and from the review it sounds absolutely amazing but I just wanted to say that $6.99 is still damned cheap for what this offers.

I think app prices are too low at times – which I realise is a weird thing to say but an amazing app for the price of a McDonalds is a total bargain.

Just bought it. Seems a little crash happy with a couple of my files. Working local. Still need to configure Airport to port forward so I can try it remote. I will keep playing with the app. Promising app.
